Chinese New Year
It’s here again, the most celebrated and awaited Chinese holiday. It’s a new beginning and adds new hope for past dreams, with fresh energy for the things that lie ahead.
On the eve (today) of Chinese New Year, we will have Reunion Dinner. This is my favorite part of the whole thing…ok second to the collection of red-packets 🙂 Tonight’s the night where the whole family comes together to enjoy each other’s presence and have a meal.
Needless to say, I had a feast of a time,
The above is a typical steamboat setup for Singaporean Chinese. Yes! my favorite BBQ crab sticks.
Yusheng – Tossing of various ingredients e.g. sliced ginger, crackers, raw fish slices. The higher you toss, the more prosperous this year will be for you!
And a part of the ingredients. My mum makes the best of soup base for steamboat.
Ahhhh Planta, I cannot have BBQ without Planta as a base. Its’ great taste has remain relatively unchanged for years.
TRY this: Planta + BBQ Crab Stick / Abalone slices
I figured the best way to lift the cheers of Chinese New Year is to get my viewers, that’s YOU to send your greetings, so take a minute or two, type in your greetings and click the Submit Comments button!
WISHING YOU A PROSPEROUS LUNAR NEW YEAR
AND MAY YOU
STRIKE GOLD IN THE YEAR OR THE RAT!

In the year of the rodent,
May we be found not just in the rat race, but in the journey to a better and more meaningful life.
In this year of the first of the zodiac animals,
Let us learn that being the first and the greatest often means becoming the lowliest and most humble of all.
In this lunar new year,
May you and I be found amidst the smiling faces and merry hearts of our family and loved ones.
Happy Chinese New Year!!
